INDIAN TIE-DYED FABRICS Gallery Notes                             CLAMP RESIST DYEING OF FABRICS

INDIAN TIE-DYED FABRICS (Photocopy edition)

Patterned fabrics are made in many ways. Among the various techniques used for these is that of tying certain portions of the cloth or yarn before dyeing so that the covered portion resists the dye resulting in the creation of single or multi-coloured designs. That is why fabrics using the resist-dyeing technique are commonly referred to as tie-dyed fabrics. They are further classified into Cloth Tie-dyed fabrics and Yarn Tie-dyed fabrics.
